Twin tips are played

I was skiing over the weekend and saw a ton of people on twin tips. I then watched a ski movie after skiing and again, all the athletes had twin tips on. Playing shredsauce - every player has twin tips. Checking NS vids - twin tips everywhere. I can't escape from the influx of bidirectional skis.

This has lead me to the conclusion that twin tips are played out. Just bought a pair of racetigers to start a new-newschool movement against tw*n t*ps

I retract this statement, just slid my first rail on a pair of 1989 dynastar race skis, it was a rush.

I think that we should get rid of all tips and just ski on flat boards

the amount of skiers at my local rocking park skis along with race gear is beyond hilarious, plus they're always mounted at like -6

Ski shops are obviously pushing the twin tips out there more cuz its a lot easier to mount a twin tipped ski backwards. If they mounted directionals backwards they would lose their reputation
 
My next skis won’t even have a single tip. Just a flat plank. I’ll see you all on the corduroy

That’s called a progressive mount. You wouldn’t understand
 
the turned up tail, even shallow allows for skiers to exit their previous turn easier. it's why a lot of skis have it now. True twin tips are not as common.
 
And so with a single breath and a great big middle finger to the man, he hit his bong, lowered the volume on the jam band music, and threw his park skis down.

As he exhaled, he muttered, "Double early-rise full-rocker ultra-wide no-sidecut pow skiing is the future maaan. Only jerrys and gapers ride twin tips."
 
obviously jokes but if youve never skied 60 something ish waist directional skis you're missing out. Gotta at least do it once or twice. the wiggle factor is hilarious

I got a pair of K2 Poachers and Mindbenders which have a bit of rocker so I do ski switch on them but I wouldn’t recommend them if you are in the park at all.

Nah Poachers are great park skis. They're more suited to the park than to anything else imo
 
Digressing, the only ppl who shouldnt ride twins are ppl who dont do a single thing switch.

but even then, who fucking cares, ppl who arent good skiers who ride twins are usually the ones smiling at you in awe as they watch you send

I would argue if they are smiling they must be doing something right.
 
skiers have been begging but no company will build what we all want. flat tail, 5 point side cut, full camber, true center mounted, metal in the tips and tails, no metal underfoot, left/right asymmetrical, George W bush painting for the topsheet.
