TV and sayings...

Has anyone ever noticed the influence that TV has on what people say. Now i'm not talking about quoting stuff like what people did with borat or step brothers but how the actually act. For instance when south park came out a bunch of kids ,at least in my experiences, started making fun of jews then gingers when that episode came out. Or the office with that's what she said. Im not saying i don't like these saying in fact i love them but its just weird how much people are really impacted by a 30 minutes or so of a cartoon originally made from construction paper. Thoughts? Other examples?

the last two weeks my roommate has been so tempted to buy shit of commercials, he keeps wanting to buy shit and i have to keep talking him out of it.

he's so jealous though that the commercials don't affect me, haha

Jersey Shore perhaps? That show has sparked way more than just sayings. Too bad it's just sooooo good.
