Tuckermans Ravine

I am a park skier but I've still always wanted to do it. Anybody know anything about skiing Tuckermans or any part of Mount Washington for that matter looking to do it with some friends soon. Couple questions:When is the best time to do it, now or even later? What gear should I have with me other than ski gear, just the normal gear I would have if I were hiking it? Because I have hiked it before.

I was sup a few weeks ago, buddies went up Sunday and said it was made icy and you can't shred the sherburne all the way out. As far as gear w hiking pack to carry skis, boots, extra clothes etc etc. I used micro spikes and poles to get up and that worked fine. Just don't be an idiot, tucks is pretty serious, its not just a stroll through suburbia.

cant stress this last point enough, alot of people go up very unprepared, dont do that. anytime now is good to ski it, just be checking on the tux website and mt washington observatory website for weather and condition updates. i was up a week or so ago, and the Sherburne was closed half way down, and its pretty thin up until that point. Long story short, be prepared and have fun
