i didnt watch the whole thing. on a powder day that would be heaven. was it possible to build a hit off 1 of the rocks?? it was hard to tell from the camera angle

i was there a few days later than you, it snowed and the wind blew in, powder day. so much more snow than that. those lines are sick man.

 
yes, it would be possible to build a hit off those rocks, and by doing that it would be possible to DIE. that terrain is very steep(50 degrees) and those rocks are very high up, if you fall, your goin to the bottom. It is sweet on a powder day, however, they have avalanches, that also kill people. I was lucky, and got a powder day, without any avalanche danger. this is rare.My powder day was deep, and heavy where the sun hit it, that is why the avalche danger was so low. in the shade, the snow was still light and fluffy, but fun werever you skied.

 
i rode feb. 15 up there waist deep pow and i set off two class two slides u just gotta stay smart up there and dont be dumb if it slides get ur ass outa there im going on sat. if anyone else is

Ski instructor ur a fucking moron, if u fell skiing that switch you would most definately die. so many people fall and get their asses kicked by that hill.

Nice vid. I kno its not that smart to make a kicker on one of those rocks but what about lower down on the mountain where you guys like stopped? You think you could make a decent size booter? i Couldnt really tell from the vid but does the slope mellow out there? That would be hot for like a May session-ski a sick line and then hit a nice big kicker.

yea you could make a nice booter near the bottom i guess where the slope starts to mellow out.it would be sick, so amny people cheer when anyone trys to jump the cliffs up top or make a kicker. they go fuckin insane

 
I didnt even watch the vid and probably wont, but I can feel confident I can say this without watching...The video doesnt do it justice.

I live in CO now, but I grew up skiing tucks and I can honestly say its sketchy no matter what time of year.

The last time I skied it was like 4 years ago in February. There was like 4 people there maybe. Me and another kid from VT hiked up over the headwall in chest deep snow. We had to keep probing as we climbed too because there are streams that run under the snow and create little crevices. Skiing down was scary for a minute because all you see as youre coming over the main headwall is sky. It just keeps rlling over until finally you drop into the bowl and then its just fucking steep.

I doubt anyone here could ski the headwall switch, and to anyone who has been there or grown up in the area takes that as almost an insult.

I hate girls in COWBOY HATS...
 
meh, the camera probably makes it look less steep than it is, but you guys do a lot of hop turns. But I've never been there, so...

actually, the east coast is way under-rated. i've been doing a lot of 'back-country' gladed runs out here this season, and there are actually some sick hills. tuckermanns is just as hairy as 90% of the shit out west
