Tuck the first, layout the second, or vise versa ?

Been putting my foot into the dub game recently, and when the jump is big enough to not just have to tuck both around, personally i like to try to tuck the first and layout the second as i feel i have more control air control to try to time my landing.

Now i’m wondering when it comes down to a style factors, who likes a fast tucked flip into a smooth layed out one over a huge layed out one to a tucked second or vise versa?

This post may come across as a slight claim but understand I am 1 and 5 for landing these so there’s not much to claim here…

Here is one of mine tucking the first and laying out the second, i don’t have a video to compare but i’m sure you all have seen some or can imagine

There was a video on here a few years ago of some guy laying out the first one and it was so big and lofty that everyone went crazy when he tucked the second one around.

When someone goes for a huge single backie realizes they are over-rotating and they tuck a second one around and stomp it looks nutz

I think any variation on the dub backflip is good. Both flips laid out has been done so many times, It looks super smooth but it doesn't stand out to me. I think a clean dub tuck would look dope its just most people who dub tuck are newer to dub backs or are sending it off something sketchy.

Always lay the first one out. That way you’ll have more air awareness for the second and be able to spot your landing in between flips. If you need to tuck the second flip, you can, or if you have the airtime, you can lay the second one out for extra steeze points

Idk man. I've seen people get ravaged tucking the second. Tuck both or lay out second only imo. You gain nothing style wise imo from lying out first tucking second and its sketchier.

Leave that for worst case ontario, meant to layout two need to tuck second to not land on head.

If you don't have enough airtime to layout both don't layout the first imo.

Yeah dude you’re entitled to your opinion! Just speaking from experience and what I think looks and feels best. Long as you’re not eating it, like I did on a dub tuck this year, then you’re good. I chose too small of a jump and fractured my ankle coming up short. Jump selection is more important than planning the style of each flip.

That was pretty well done considering the difficult inrun. Layout and tuck for the first, lay the second one out. Ya had it pretty well there
