The Mt. Baker theater is a huge venue and takes a bit to fill. If you want to do a legit big premier in Bellingham, this is the spot. On the snowboard side, Standard Films hosted the World Premier at The Mount Baker Theater a few years ago and sold out the venue, with the majority from walk up traffic. Believe last years Absinthe films had the place roughly 1/4 filled. Besides Warren Miller and the Baker Film festival, do not remember a ski film presenting at the Mt. Baker theater.
Other less expensive options would be Rumors, the Radio Museum or maybe the new Pickford Cinema.
Bellingham has a healthy ski community (with a college) that will show up for events.

How I read that: after reciting blank verse at urban features, I then murder them with vegetables. Too bad Stept hasn't adopted that approach yet.
