TSP/Level 1 Premiere - Bellingham

Hey guys -

We are working on our tour schedule and would really like to do a showing of our new movie "Set Your Sights" with Level 1's "After Dark" in Bellingham. Looks like we would probably do it at the Mount Baker Theater in October or early November.

Can anybody out there give me any idea of how a L1P/TSP screening would go in Bellingham? The theater seats 1500 - would love to see the place packed but we are trying to get a realistic idea of how big the premiere would be.

Thanks guys!

closer distance but yeah there is a good chunk of freeskiers in bellingham i think it would be well recieved.

I dont think theres any way you get close to 1500 in Seattle or Bellingham. Hope that doesnt change your mind, but needs to be said~

if i were you guys i would do it in Seattle at the KIng Cat Theatre like PBP. Reason for that is because Seattle is a universal area kinda in the middle of everybody and you'll get a broader region of skiers in Seattle because of Snoqualmie and Crystal Mt. More people ski these mountains then Stevens which means it will be closer to the larger population. Snoqulalmie, stevens, Crystal, and White Pass will all meet in Seattle instead of Bellingham which adds an extra hour and a half maybe a little less. The Theatre fits a good amount of people, also the destination its at in Seattle isnt usually to busy from what i know and hasnt been in the PBP premiers either. There is also a bar so when we are watching the movie and if you guys are their and are sick of the movie by then, you guys can go get a few drinks while we enjoy the premier.

fo sho this, a level1/tsp joint premiere would be so sick in seattle, and in my opinion, i think it would be recieved better here, rather than up in bham

1. PBP is much larger than level1 and stretches across more demographics than jiblets

2. Nobody knows who TSP is (sorry)

3. Its the premier of PBP Tour

4. Triple threat has history in the area and a lot of people show up because they remember the wild evo parties~

Except they are mostly irrelevant in ticket sales due to no name value. Most anyone who knows TSP would know Level1 and show up just for a Level1 show~

based off the trailers, set your sights looks better to me than after dark. if there were two seperate showings of after dark and set your sights both on the same date, i would attend the TSP premiere. however, this is probably not the case with everyone.

King Cat would be sick, also renting out a movie house like the Neptune or Egyptian would be sick too. Anywhere theres an afterparty.

I live in Bellingham and i would say that a solid amount of people would show up for this, do not be persuaded away from doing it, this would be very well received from a lot of people here.

Please do.

I say do two showings if you can in both Seattle and Bellingham, i am sure you would get a turnout in both places...

I believe Seattle would be your best bet. Bham is just too far for most ppl. And check out evo or some place in Seattle. There is also this cool theater downtown tacoma that the Warren Miller film is at each year. Just throwing some locations sout there. Evo would be sick though....

Only ski movie I've been to since moving out here was triple threat at EVO two years ago. Absolutely awesome. Not as sick as some of the shows they had at the Emerson (one's with free beer and after party in house), but pretty damn sick.

Do it in Ellensburg! MSP did The Way I See it up at Central last year it was sick! Or you could do it at Evo in Seattle to.

There was a premiere of eye trip at a decent size venue in the university district. If any org remembers where it was, it was a good size foe this movie

Sounds like we are doing a Set Your Sights/After Dark double feature on October 6th on the WWU campus. More details soon. Hope to see you guys there!
