Trying to make my box move easier...suggestions anyone?

alright...idiot question, but how do u guys move ur heavy boxes/rails around?

I have like...three options that i could do to where to put wheels. either make them so they can fold inside the box, put them on the side and flip the box whenever i need to move it, or build small triangles with wheels on the bottom (not touching the ground whenever i don't lift it up) at the ends so that i can lift one end, and wheel it around....idk which one would be better...

So what do u guys do?

put the bottoms of the wheels at the same level as your box or have them fold out and on the other side put a handle. Then you can just lift the box with the handle and roll it along.

i haven't tried this but it seems like you could throw a skateboard under each end and it might roll on grass

well..u could, but i don't skateboard so i don't have one...i could buy one, but since i already have wheels laying around the house, i don't think i wanna

you could buy just cheap skateboard trucks online somewhere to attach the wheels you already have, just screw in one set on each end. or just ask a friend for a shitty old skateboard

im not sure if this is srcasm or not. maybe your confused?

if the wheels are hard plastic like grocery cart wheels it wont be very easy to roll on grass... get rubber wheels or just carry it... if you get rubber wheels, make something like 2 platforms that you lift the ends of the box onto then you could roll it

^^o haha...yea, thx for the help but i already figured out how to do it....i just build kinda like a small triangular prism on the end of the box and put the wheels under it so when i lift it up, the wheels touch the ground, and when it's flat, the wheels don't...o and i put plyood over it just in case i don't have enough speed and i can just slide off of that

man up and carry it it only weighs..........................alot i have some friends help me and when it snows i have a rope drilled int one end to drag it

get 2 men to lift it. i have a 16' box thats 2' wide and has 2.5 pounds of screws in it, it ways about 200 pounds total lol, me and my friend can lift it.
