Trying out for school soccer team

im trying out for the varsity team, but im comin back fomr a broken arm so i need to get back in shape. any tips on how i can get my core strength really good?

take long runs on a regular basis and breathe through your stomach, it will help develop core stability and endurance.

 
for soccer you just need to run a lot and lift weights but focus mostly on your legs

You need to do sprint workouts after you start buliding up you endurance because during game its mostly changing your speed and sprinting to the ball. So start working in some pick ups in your long runs.

Whatever women do they must do twice as well as men to be thought half as good. Luckily, this is not difficult.
 
situps with a medicine ball. helps for throw-ins also

id say sit ups and chin ups and laps for overall body strenght

^nice icon. when i play my coach shits his pants if the middys are not in shape, so typically 1-2 weeks before the season starts, i do runs starting at 1 mile, and ending with 6 miles on the last day before camp. sprinting is important but, you get that during practice. so i would say just do long runs to cut the summer fat, and drink more water than your body can hold, very important. and don't eat shitty food like mcdonalds, hell it don't even taste good! Good luck in try outs.

start with a 3 mile run 6 days a week at a good pace, do situps unitll you cant bc ur cramping 2 bad, push ups till ur arms feel like shit, if you do this for 2 weeks you should be in good enough shape

well if you're trying out for keeper...

when you're doing ball drills.. use a medicine soccer ball.. i dunno my coach has some and i use them when i'm at goalie training. they're good..

yeah wtf its a fall sport for school anyway, but anyway do crunches, leg lifts 6inches above the ground for atleast a 1-2 mins is good, wall sits (sittin on an imaginary chair w/ legs parallel with the ground/floor) for 1.5-3 mins is good, hmm wut else do stuff like reppin distances and doin em under a specific time ex. today for track we did 12 400's under w/e time our coach told us to do with a min rest between each one land ots of runnin do long runs like 60 mins which will keep the extra speed you gain, also hill sprints will get u faster but u need to do the long 60-70 min runs to keep your speed up, if ur gonna rest i wouldnt do it for more then 2 days otherwise ul start to lose the speed you gained

also for your arms easiest thing is pushups:wide, normal n ones where u make a triangle with ur thumbs n pointer finger-multiple reps

 
1 - 3 min on the wall sits? go for 6-7 trust me its possible

we did them every day durring the ski season! then once soccer is over you will be avle to ski all day without feeling anything

nice, keeper's my position as well. I love it everbody else has to run and crap on my team while I just do tactics and shit.

our soccer ends saturday but anywho in the begining of the year we had morning practices and we ran 4 miles every morning, so im guessing runnings a good idea.
