Trusted Bay Area Ski Shop?

I recently moved out to the Bay Area (San Jose) and need to find a shop to mount some FKS bindings for me. I'd rather go to a shop that knows what they're doing and has a good rep around here and avoid making a "shop destroyed my skis" thread.

The closer the better but I would be willing to drive to SF to get a proper mount if necessary. Recommend away!

Any Mountain Concord, ask for Austin (925) 674-0174, he mounts all of my stuff for me, and I would trust him W/ any ski or binder.

Porters in Truckee or Tahoe City. It's far, but just get it done on the first ski trip you take. Go up on friday night, give them your skis and some beer, and they should be able to get them done by morning. If you go to truckee, there should be an older gentleman working in the store, ask him what kind of beer the shop guy likes.

The bay area actually happens to have some legit freakin stores.. Cal Ski in Berkeley, Several of the aformentioned Any Mountain shops, Demo Sport, and D-structure all happen to be pretty damn legit shops with people who know what theyre doing...

The problem is with all the retards that go to sports chalet and sports authority and those big box stores... people there dont know jack shit about what to do with ski stuff

Also, don't worry too much about the NorSki shops- they've got good deals come season's end, and I'd trust them to fix core shots, tune, and mount bindings, and even bootfitting, if you get one guy in Lafayette, but I'd go to porters or D-Structure for advice in choosing a ski, or for more options than the gaper pro models (Metrons and AC4's. They're great skis, and I love my atomic Nomads to death for gnar steeps on crunchy spring days, I'd never even consider them on a day where my primary goal is jibbing around or powder, or even dropping cliffs. I like wider bases for landing).
