I was watching Ski Porn earlier today and during Seth Morrisons' part i came to think of this story a friend of mine told me a while ago.

Is it true that Seth Morrison survived a helicopter crash which claimed the lives of 9 other people or so and that he was the sole survivor?

I came to think of his first signature crowbar goggle. They had a lot of skulls on them and this friend told me that they represented the unfortunate souls who died during this crash. And some of the earlier K2 Seth had these sick helicopter-graphics which makes me wonder about it even more.

So dear Newschoolers, is my friend full of BS or is there actually some truth to this?

In the summer of 1997, Steve ( camera man) hit a defining moment in his life and career. While in Chile filming Pura Vida, the helicopter carrying Winter, photographer T.R. Youngstrom, skier Seth Morrison, a guide and a pilot to the top of the Andes went down. The crash killed Youngstrom and the pilot, and seriously wounded everyone else, including Winter, who broke his back and was paralyzed. According to those on the scene, Winter was minutes from death himself.
 
thats all i could find so it sounds like only two people died.

doesnt say alot about seth but there is your answer
