True opinions on Big White

Skiing at Revelstoke, and then Silverstar (first time in BC), I have to say Silverstar just did not even have a chance to compete with the terrain, snow quality, people, and view's compared to Revelstoke.

Revelstoke is going to be a destination I hit every year.

Flying in to Kelowna this winter, I have a trip planned Feb 25th - March 1st with some buds (unfortunatly, a couple intermediate level snowboarders). The plan is 6 days of skiing, at least 3 at Revelstoke (hoping for more but circumstances say otherwise), and 3 days elsewhere.

The intermediates really want to try Big White, however with my experience with Silverstar last year left me wanting for more, I've heard Big White offers a similar experience.

I've been really pushing to hit up Red Mtn as I've heard amazing things from there.

So, calling all locals to the area, and tourists, I want an honest opinion about Big White. None of us are real big park skiers (although I like to hit the odd jump, box, rail, pipe from time to time), I really dig everything else too (bowls, tree's, steeps, etc).

Help me legitimately persuade my friends from Big White (unless its really a place to hit up).

Big White is called Big White because it's always a white out. The only reason to go there is because their park is usually really good. I would stay at Revy unless you wanna ski park.

Big white is not a horrible mountain by any means. There is some pretty fun glades, and the cliff area is fun for a while. I have a seasons pass to big white, but if revelstoke was closer i would have deffently bought a pass there instead. If you can convince your friends to go to red i would recomend it. Short lift lines and some sick stashes. I just came back from a 2 day trip there and had a blast.

If you end up goign to big white send me a pm and i will show you areound if you like.

I ski bigwhite and if you want some intermidate glades there is the black forest but if your not into park then id reccomend revy or red

We will be arriving in to Rossland late on the 25th.
