Tripod For Dvx

I have a Davis & Stanford tripod and I regret buying that shit. Not a quality tripod. Buy once, cry once. Don't buy a cheap tripod and regret it man.
 
got one even thought everyone told me not to. Cause i had no more money and i badly needed one. The push to do it was that a good friend of mine has had one for over a year and has had no problems. Well not the case got mine about two weeks ago and sent it back to tiffen not bandh in the first week because the head was soo loose and i would take it off fuck with the screws and shit and it would be good for half an hour then get all loosy goosy on me. So i sent it in to tiffen and firstly they made me fucking pay for shipping wtf is that. and i still havent gotten it back.
 
In my experiences, Bogen/Manfrotto makes the best "cheap" tripods (as for expensive ones, there are better brands). A 501 head with some portable legs should do. Just make sure you get clamps and not screws, because then you have to screw/unscrew 3 legs every time you want to pack up, which costs too much time
