Trip to Mt.Hood

Sup guys, me and my buddies are planning a trip for our summer 2015 (your winter), and we are thinking of going to oregon (mt hood) and washington (mt baker)..

since this forum is regional, let's talk about Mt. Hood..

If we want to ski in timberline, where should we live ?

What's the average rent for a small house (4 guys).

What kind of skiing should we expect in timberline/meadows ? I mean, we have been at breck, mammoth, PC, etc etc...should we expect more pow skiing ? and a lot of touring, right ?

How much snow do you guys get in a regular year ? (more like march-april).

Thanks in advance !!

Looking foward to ski that area.

Try to stay in government camp but if you cant do that stay in welches/hood river/sandy. Timberline is pretty flat but their parks are pretty sick, meadows has better terrain, and skibowl has some sick cliffs but its pretty small. At night you can hit up the skibowl ropetow park which is always chyll. Theres also lots of wet snow.

Ya for April and March expect for mix sunny days to pretty good powder. Though it's usually more of a wet powder. Timberline will be good especially for a sunny day at the park and Meadows for a great day skiing spring powder as they offer better steeps and terrain. Now Skibowl has great terrain although they don't get as much snow since of the lower elevation but you can't go wrong spending the night lapping there rope tow park.
