A friend and I are planning a trip to Mammoth this year and were wondering which airport we should fly into and what i sa nice hotel to stay at for a decent price?

Thanks for any help!!!

reno....rent a car or take the shuttle...bout 3.5 hours or less from the airport not much cheap in Mammoth, try the travelodge or the edlewiess

Yea i dont really mean cheap money isnt a big issue just want a decent place to stay close by that isnt insanely expensive!!

Fly into Reno... and basically any place in the Mammoth... Village? is it called Mammoth Village? Anyways, any place in town will work because there are shuttles up to the mountain from any place in town and they run like every 15 minutes. My friend lived there for a winter and basically never drove his car because the shuttle bus system was so convienent.

stay in the mammoth lakes hostel, it kicks tons of ass and it's relatively cheap. The hostel is just a really cool place and it's not too far off the hill. We stayed there for a week and only two other people even went there the whole time. so we basically had like a 6 bedroom 2 story log cabin with a deck all to ourselves for the week for like 30$ a day or some shit.

Hahaha. I climbed up on the roof of Mammoth Lakes and they called the cops because they thought I was suicidal and was going to jump off and kill myself. It was funny.

if you fly into burbank you can go check out all the southern california shit if you're into that. then it's a 5 hour drive to mammoth if you go the speed limit. only downside is there would not be a shuttle. you'd have to rent a car.

fly into reno and it's something like 3 hours.

Hahahah... you might not know, but you have to be some sort of millionaire to spent a single night at the village.

The best thing to do is call up Motel 6 at least four weeks ahead of time and make reservations. that place is definately the cheapest.

Yea, fly to reno, and the shuttle service will get you around town most of the day.
