Trip to Chamonix

Hi

I'm planning to drive in a campermobile from Norway, through Denmark, Holland and all the way to the Geneve in Switzerland in the start of season 2016. Planning on staying in and around the alps approx 3 months.

Skiing in the parks and BC is the main agenda.

Maybe stay longer. I got great powder in Chamonix mid-late April and was told it dumps for another couple weeks following that.

Grand Montets is a shitshow on powdays tho.
 
I'd go later in the season for 3 months. Start in mid January maybe to get better conditions at Chamonix. Early season you'll have to deal with possible no snow, poorly filled in glaciers, etc.
 
reminds me, ill probably be going on a trip to chamonix this summer in mid july. do they have skiing at chamonix at that time? it would be sick to ski in the summer

Yeah they open round about mid june and closes ca. mid/end of september on most liftes. I feel ya going skiing in Folgefonna this summer.. gonna be sweet
