Fellow shredders looking for some advice. Im going up to Whis, Feb. 5th-8th. Im looking for some suggestions on favorite lines, nice cruisers, best trees, pow stashes, anything memoriable to ride! Also seeking some good local grub and some good places to grab a beer. Any help would be much appreciated!

These are just personal faves, there's tons of good stuff on both mountains and I could go on and on about great spots.

Trees: Arthur's Choice on Blackcomb, in the Harmony area, Xmas Trees near Whistler peak.

Area in general: 7th Heaven and Spanky's Ladder on Blackcomb.

Cruisers: The Solar Coaster/Excelerator area on Blackcomb.

Drinking holes: Dusty's in Creekside, Merlin's at the Blackcomb base, Crystal Lounge in the Whistler village. Garfinkels for clubbing. Avoid the Longhorn.

As a tourist I would highly suggest doing a post skiing drinking session at the bar in the Round House then having a chinese downhill.

Its one of my favorite Whistler activities - get to the bar around 3:30 and grab a few pitchers (may I suggest one each) and then just kick it for as long as you can slowly drinking them...you'll probably get ushered out around 4.

At which point grab your friends and say last one to the base of Creekside (have to ski Dave murray all the way to make this really work) is buying the first round.

or you can be smart like a locals. Go to the liquor store, grab a 6 pack. Find a nice spot out of bounds to watch the sun go down. Watch out for snowcats and winch lines on the way down.
