im gonna try the park more this year .. any good tricks or things i should work on to start with?? im pretty comfortable on skis ?

any ones over the others?? i was thinking of trying some rails out too ... any good suggestions for starting those?

keep your weight centerd and your feet a little farther than shoulder width apart and knees bent. look at the end of the rail once you gt on and not where your feet are. make sure you are commited and stay relaxed so that way it hurts less if you fall.

ignore wat wats his name said about worrying about being stylish. no skiers are in anyway stylish there first year of park. u have to learn the basics and style comes when u get more comfortable with bigger tricks and bigger jumnps. start with 180s, then 360s, of smallish jumps. the boxest and rails.

the most important thing i found out about learning rails, is dont be afraid of speed, momentum is what helps you keep your balance, so dont slow down to much on the approach or balancign will become incredibly hard.

Jumping on a trampoline or going to a water ramp definentaly helps as far as spinning/flipping goes. It'll help you build up some air sense so you'll know what to do once you're in the air.

I didn't learn rails until my 9th year of skiing...but then again I don't think rails were such a cool thing to do back then.

dont worry about how you balance weight on rails...youll figure it out soon enough. keep your legs shoulder width or more apart and stay gorilla...

Wow, you are a dumbass sketchline. The trick to rails is keeping you shoulders facing down hill.

what ever you do, whether it is 180, 360, 1080, or whatever rail, remember style comes last. first get the trick down like no other, then devolope s style.

the most important thing to learn for park skiing is that your spins and tricks are done through your head. and a good pop is important for park. Once you learn you throw spins with your head a 7 seems as easy as a 360. make sure u learn to have a good pop and let your legs come up to be ready for grabs as they make balance easier and arms flail less.
