trick or the style

ya my dumb ass shit friends say its the trick that makes a good skier...i totaly disagreed, i say i smaller trick with mad style would beat an amazing trick that is landed but looked like shit. So i said it was the style that made a good skier not the trick. Wut do u think

i think style is the main part, but it is good to be able to pull a few big tricks. it is true that i would rather see say a perfect ncie big 360 then a fast rotated 720. owell it's all opinion.

I agree.. I'd rather look at a nice floating 3 than a 1080 with your arms flapping around.. but I think that nobody these day cares if you can do a nice 3.. they'd rather hear your best trick... that kinda doesn't make any sense.. um... to summarize that I meant to say that society likes tricks.. I like style.. there we go.. hope that isn't too confusing for you

on paper small tricks dont look good. in real life when you float a 3 grab or really style something out it looks better then anything sloppy though.

man...screw the small tricks with style...add style to the big tricks...if you cant do somethin with good style...then work at it till it does have style...thats the best way to go. little tricks with style work well onto rails though. but like cork 5s...

ya...im lost

for sure add style to the big jumps, a styled 180 is only cool when its over a ninty foot spine or something, but a crossed up 7 looks cool of almost any jump

you really have to combine the 2........a huck looks like crap but if you can add style to a technicle trick thats the best

I think doing a trick with good style is a lot harder than just a mad huck. I'm trying to do stylie 5's with grabs, and it's tough, even though I can huck a 9.

i agree with andy and parker.. i can do tight 180's and i suck. i would say in a comp a judge would rather see a messy 1080 (landed) than a cool 360

But dont get me wrong...i dont really do anything bigger than 5s now...i used to do like 10s, and was doing rodeo 9s. but now im more into stuff that is unnatural...my newest is the unnatural cork 5. its such a sick trick...not only does it feel smooth, it looks smooth. but if you plan on doing the smaller tricks...like 3s...doing them switch is the way to go...

no question about it, i would much rather see a slow spinning stylish trick than a pencil out sketchy 1440

well i would say for tricks that have already been done this is true but i'd rather see a 1600 than a stylie 360, cuz i've never seen one and i dont think anyone else has either. i get to see stylie tricks all the time so i usually get more amped seeing someone do a new trick for the first time...or something like that. right. ok i'll shut up now.

if u think about it, it doesnt matter what we think is better. its what the judges think.

i like style more than anything

-my name is sirjibsalot i like to jib rails alot, curved ones, kinked ones, long ones, short ones, rainbow ones, and hand rail ones, because my name is sirjibsalot-

I like style too...but like I think big tricks can be stylie...LIke Dspins...but I get kinda sick of when people think 180 grabs are the best trick in the world...cause yeah they're really dope and smooth, but there's cooler things...I think the styliest trick is mickeal's corked 5's, hell yeah

Your mom rides a snowboard

well why cant you see both, crs 1440 wasnt ugly or anything it was a smooth spin i liked it watched about 100 times

I like skiing

i dont think it matters at all what the judges think cuz if the only reason you ski is to win comps then first of all it probably won't be that fun and 2 your skiing for the wrong reasons

well of course a 1600 is betetr then a nice 3. the question is 'is it better then a nice stylish 10'. you cannot compare every single spin to a 360. the higher the huck, the more spins u can do stylish obiviously. so i still say a nice stylish spin is better then a hucked yet bigger spin.

I enjoy watching insanely out of control hucks but maybe thats just me...

For bragging rights, the bigger trick always wins but for looks, style is more important. But you have to try bigger tricks in order to progress. Your first of any trick will not look that good but to have good style you need to practice that trick.

big grabbed 180's ARE the coolest tricks

and he flew round the world on a never ending dinnerroll...

It is definatly the style. If you cannot make your tricks look good, why keep doing them. Sure it awesome to be able to stomp 1440, 1080, and Rodeo 9s. But I much rather see a huge tweaked out 3 with a huge cross. I think the best trucks are when your just floating through the air, all tweaked out.

I'd personally rather see a 1440 over a 360 grab with style, but an ugly 720 vs a nice and slow 360 grab, no question the 360 is better.

eric pollard does super stylie small tricks, and he goes huge when he does them.

looks so nice.
