Trew Jacket Selection/ Sizing

Searchbarred pretty extensively to limited avail. I'm looking to buy either a Trew Cosmic or Powfunk and wanted to see if anyone could weigh in.

As far as spec's go I'm pretty indifferent - they're both overpriced shell jackets. I'm 6' tall, looking for a little bit baggier fit as to avoid the dentist look but don't want to be swimming in it or look like an over the hill park rat (I am, but still). Pretty much stuck between L or XL.

Does anyone have any insight into sizing differences between the two (other than what's on the website) or pictures with your height that I could use to guide my decision?

Went through this myself, was definitely looking at powfunk for taller but not excessively huge fit.

I am also 6’ and was pretty ready to go for size L but ultimately landed on an Armada Evers. Homie said the fit of his S powfunk is taller than his old M saga fatigue, if that helps you?

The sizing email account basically warned me I’d likely be swimming in the XL.

There was a review on youtube of some dude who was 6’ showing how tall it was on him. Some gear review channel.

Trew is rad though. Got some bibs that have treated me well.

appreciate it homie! gonna go with the large and pray for the best. I'm buying a piece out of last year's stuff so they said they could do exchanges but pretty limited inventory and no returns so didn't want to get stuck in a jacket that didn't fit and not be able to swap for XL.

Let us know what happens. I'm in a similar boat right now choosing a Trew jacket so would love to hear how it works out for you

Hey sorry to come in late on this. I am 5'9/34 waist quite broad shouldered and like a looser look. I did have a Capow jacket in large which was a little too fitted for me so i went with the XL powfunk and XL bibs. The jacket is an amazing fit and the bibs are super nice except i wish they were a little baggier in the leg.......

hope that helps

Deffinently not overpriced

Yo yeah sick input thanks for weighing in. I’ve already ordered from them - clearly I was able to get over the price point. Unfortunately you missed the whole point of the thread.

I'm 6' 200 lbs and this is a large Powfunk. The powder skirt wraps around right under my ass and the sleeves are a bit long but its the fit I'd go with if you want to layer underneath

Super helpful, thank you. Sure it will help others on here as well.

I actually ended up going with the L in cosmic so makes me wonder how that’s going to fit considering the powfunk is supposed to baggier overall. I’ll send an update in here when it shows up for broader awareness.

Again, for reference, I'm 6' about 160 pounds. This is the cosmic jacket in large.

Sorry for the delayed response - shipped the jacket to my parents' house and just now got here. Overall pretty stoked with the fit... I think if you want it really baggy you could always size up to the XL (if ordering cosmic) or if you wanted to cinch the bottom. Probably gonna stick with the large, myself. Stoked!

Bringing this thread back from the dead - wondering if any of you guys who wound up in new Trew have any shots in your gear from the season for size reference?

I feel like I went a bit small on my shell this year (Armada "New Standard fit" Evers size L) and think I'll pick up a Cosmic after all. Wanting it bigger than my current shell and deciding between L and XL.

I'm 6'0 170ish looking for baggier/tall but not swimming like I was in my OG XL Saga back in the day (I imagine the Capow XL is notably smaller than the old Saga was). Probably cinch it and would like it to fully cover my butt. Leaning XL.

Thoughts?

Go XL for sure, we’re pretty much the same size and wish I went with XL instead of L after a season skiing in it

Thanks guys, you’ve sold me on XL for sure. Sorry to hear the fit didn’t work out for you either this year.
