who is heading into the bush this spring and for what companies? what year?
I'm planting with Haveman Brothers in Ontario and it's going to be my 3rd year. I am stoked to be getting back to bugs, beer, dirt, rain, trees, and the best food ever.
Haveman eh? I had a wierd talk with them last year, they seamed all weird and stuff. he was asking me wierd questions about my party style or something. I don't know.
But I'm with Brinkman in BC. 5th year, start mid april, plant till the end of July.
if it's your third year what are you still doing in Ontario? don't be lazy and get your ass out to BC, unless of course you like getting paid shit money.
this year we're getting 13 cents for scarified and 16+ for raw. the highest I saw last year was 22 cents. (this is all in the interior).
havemans is a pretty solid company but it's all plant, no party. Like the night before the days off sometimes. 13 cents for scarified in Ontario? for Brinkman? thats an amazing contract.
and to the other dude, yeah its good money for sure. I made 9000 after 35 planting days and I was the 11th best planter on my contract. so just imagine what the top guys made.
Treeplanting: It is a silviculture activity known as reforestation. It involves planting seedlings over an area of land where the forest has been harvested or damaged by fire or disease or insects.
yea, just cap rock, bolders, low tree price, anal quality, BUGS!. everywhere gets rain... everywhere, and you get paid more for hills. 18 cents for cream because it's on a hillside? fuck yea!
This summer was my first season. Planted two months in Wawa Ont. with Brinkman and then another one month near Rocky Mountain House in Alberta. I met some of the most inspiring people planting out west. People whose lives revolve around skiing and the Plant. I
