now, don't get me wrong, i think travis rice is a great snowboarder, and hiw double cork 1080 is one of the sickest things ever, but i just watched this interview with him: he wrecked the landing after they were done with it, because he didn't want everyone else to hit it, because it would take away from his feeling of superiority to the rest of the scene and the uniqueness of what they accomplished.

that just retarded. to justify himself he said that it was there all winter for anyoen to hit, and they didn't, so tough luck, but does that give him ownership of the gap? did that mean he could wreck the anding because no one else was hitting it?

to destro the kicker after, sure, they built it, but the landing? what if another bunch of skilled kids like creedman and montanakid had decided to go hit? they could have built their own kick of course, but the landing?

he said you could just shovel some snow on the landing, but then it becomes a park it and extremely dangerous if you bail at tha

whatever, there's steezyier and better all around snowboards then double flip mcgee travis rice. that was def a dick thing to do, i guess he is all about slowling down the progession of his sport, but not allowing fellow riders to hit it. Double cork wippdy doo, what's next a 1620? oh or maybe a triple back flip! I'll give it a good wow factor and props for that. but im not a travis rice fan.

i remember about 3 years ago people were saying snowboarders would never clear chads gap. when i found out about that, i was shocked, cause it was cool to see them stepping up. unforunatly, he comes off as a cocky son of a bitch in his interview, and mangaed to make me lose all my respect for him. by the way, that double cork 10 doesnt look like chads gap

i think all he did was take down the jump. And for the record he's not arrogant. He's way down to earth for being argueably the best all around snowboarder in the world.

watch the interveiw on dcshoes.com part 2. he didn;t 1080 chads, he 1080 double cork or whatever the pyramid gap then hit chads after and destroyed the landing and the jump, of chads.

BUt, salting the landing and throwing rocks on it is just gay... also the same goes for linking chains on handrails after hitting them... gay

The one on the right is of the double cork and the one on the left is that of the 540. Tell me how similar those gaps, let alone the kickers appear to be? Try to use common sense here.

You dudes are lookin at it all wrong. They built the booter, it was not already up for them to sess. So why should they leave the booter there for others who put absolutely no effort into building it.

And besides, all he did to the bottom of it was throw rocks which could easily be picked up and thrown aside, nothing was stopping anyone from rebuilding it.

..if you still dont understand what im saying, if ayone here jibs urbanly, then you know what im talking about if you spent 3 hours building and clearing a line to sess a sick rail, that food break you took cost you the entire 3 hours work. when you get back fuckin bums are sessing it before you even had the first hit. ...you build it, its considered your's.

its like an unwritten rule, you dont session someone else's shit unless you built it with them.

but if the kick is gone, they build another one and session that one, simple.

but if you mess up the landing, theres no point, the landing is almost more important than the booter, and then everyone is screwed, all because a weeny decided to claim a gap HE WAS FINISHED WITH!!!!
