Travel With Skis?

So I'm going to Saas Fee and Les Deux for 2 weeks in July 2015 with some friends and as it is a big trip for me, I've already begun to think about what I need to buy to make the trip easy to navigate around. However, I have heard that it is common for skis to be stolen over in Europe. So Europeans, should I bring my sticks or rent?

Hey man! I was at Les 2 for a week and my skis were fine, and none of the guys I was with had any problems either. At the top cable car station there is a place where you can keep your skis overnight, it costs like 20e for a week I think. This way you always have em under control.

Bringing skis on the plane is more of a hassle, but tbh I do it all the time and it isn't that bad.

I'd say bring them. I've never heard that europe had more thefts than the US. Plus, I'm not sure about the US, but renting skis costs a shit ton of money, especially for what the rental places call "top of the line" which is actually pretty shit.
