Travel/Ski Insurance For Overseas Trip?

Does anyone have any experience with ski insurance for off piste and extreme skiing (cliffs or jumping, etc.)? Is this something I should shell out money for? It seems most ski plans won't cover accidents due to jumping or tricking... How do the pros handle this stuff? I don't want to pay a bunch for insurance only to have it be denied because I hurt myself jumping.

Anybody got insight? Thanks!

Where are you going? Pretty much any country you go to that's not the US will have a cheaper healthcare system, so you probably won't have to worry that much about it.

Get a premium travel credit card. Many cover medical costs as well as evacuation costs and even death & dismemberment insurance.

Maybe just don't get travel insurance and don't pre pay for a lot of stuff for your trip. Hotel reservations can just be canceled and I never prepay for accommodations. You can just usually change your air ticket without too much trouble.

Get too hurt and you can't use the rest of your ski pass but that is just the gamble you have to take IMO. They sometimes have season pass insurance from the ski area but I haven't ever bought it and it doesn't look like a very good deal IMO.

Usually when you buy a tour somewhere you get travel medical insurance. So usually you are covered. I personally always buy a travel medical insurance every time I go to the mountains just because I am low key injury prone. I have been looking for a good insurance provider with benefits because honestly I will need it. I have switched around and I found one that I really like. the plus of this provider is that not only the plan has benefits but also it's applicable to a large group of people which is ideal for groups of people that go on a trip together. So I feel like it's a good investment
