Transferring part of an edit

So i have an edit that i just finished and when i went to upload it onto Vimeo it said that it was to big. The edit has an intro so i went back to try to split the actual edit from the intro in order to make two smaller files but when i copy and pasted the intro into a new sequence the quality turned to crap. Is there a better way to do this or fix the quality without having to remake the intro?
 
dont delete stuff from your edit until you make sure you exprted it correctly. did you exprt using quicktime conversion on fce ?!
