Transferring Mid-Year

my first year at college i sorta slacked off so my GPA was pretty low. 1.57....this semester i plan to work my ass of (easier said than done) but i'd also like to transfer....i really just don't like where i am...if i did indeed get my grades up, is there any possibility of me being able to transfer mid year? or will other schools not be able to see any improvement until the semester is over? anyone ever in a similar situation? how did it work out for you?
 
I think it would depend on grades that you got in highschool if your first semester isnt even over yet... but i wouldnt be surprised if they did look at you most recent grades... good luck, you might even want to just finish the year and see where it takes you after that...
 
you can def do it. although meeting people will be kinda hard. just get that shit to at least a C and you shouldn't have a issue transferring
 
i think u should prolly wait till after a year. the better ur gpa after a year in college the less they'l wanna look at hs grades. if you apply for a transfer before this semester is done, they'l have to look at hs gpa.
 
I transfered after my first tri last year and I liked it and hated it for one reason, I had NO FRIENDS, so I had to meet new people and make new friends which was kinda fun, but yeah
 
just work your ass off if youre somewhere you dont want to be so that you can transfer
