Transfering from a camrea to computer

So I have a camera with a little tape in it. But I don't have a usb cable so is there a way to transfer the little tape to a cd or on the computer .Is there places where I can give my tape and they will give me a cd or something?

I would just spend the money and get either a firewire or usb cord (depending on your camera) because I transfered a tape to a disk for my friend and the quality ended up being terrible its alot better to just capture it in an editing software.

Thanks alot for helping. The thing is that i actually have a "usb" cable but somehow the usb doesnt fit in the usb plug lol. I don't know what's up,it's my friend'S camera but that'S all the cables he had and the one that is suposed to be usb doesnt have a usb shape, it's weird. I don't know if that made sens

Chances are, considering your video is on a tape, that you need a firewire cable, and a firewire card for your computer if it does not already have one.
Firewire looks very similar to USB, however, the small, four pin firewire is not as wide as a miniUSB port.
