This is a really eye opening documentary i figured some people here would enjoy a lot. Its about how artificial intelligence will essentially overpower mankind within the next 20-30 years unless if we integrate with technology biologically. It makes me realize how ridiculously reliant we are nowadays on technology and its actually a bit freaky how much faster it will be growing in the future. The documentary is pretty long and has two parts to it but it certainly is very interesting.

Why does he just assume it follows an exponential growth pattern when it can potentially be logistical growth where eventually it planes out?
 
well he explains in the documentary that new technology always derives from previous technology. apply that to all other technology in the world and if you look at it from a bigger picture i guess it comes out to seem as if its growing exponentially
