Trampoline Rodeo

Yeah I know about the Tramp Cult and I posted in there but that gets little traffic so I wanted to post here.

Yeah, basically I've been trying rodeos for two week and cant physically seem to throw my body the right way. I try dropping my right sholder and opening back-end up throwing misty. Try to spin like my back is on a table with my feet rotating around my head-end up throwing misty. Try grabbing japan and looking over my left sholder and up-end up throwing misty or backflip 180. I IS FRUSTERATED! Any suggestions, I mean I can lincoln, back, front, misty 5/7, cork up to 9 but I can't rodeo, just seems too wierd I guess. Any suggestions or ways to think about doing it?

I want to figure this out too. Im working on dounble fgalts right now so flats are no problem o the tramp for me but i was told that it isn't the same as a rodeo. I heard that they are similar but different. But nobodies been able to teach me. Somebody put good advice on here please!!!!!!!!!!!

It's really more of a forward/side set than straight over back. Once I realized that it made a lot more sense.

no. that is how to learn corks.
rodeos on the tramp feel quite a bit different than on snow, so dont get too frustrated. my best advice would be to learn "wackflip" japans or flat 3 japans on the tramp. then when you can do that, set it a bit more flat and try to get an extra 180 around when you spot the landing.

No. That is how you learn rodeos on tramp. Think about it. Lay on your back on the ground. Spin 360 degrees while looking at the ceiling. It's a fucking rodeo. Corks you spin a regular 360 and land on your back.
Seriously the easiest way to learn new tricks is to roll around on the floor or your bed. I've done that for corks and rodeos and landed both perfectly first time on snow.

Think of it as, when you're leaving the trampoline (like when you pop while your setting) as turning your hips 90 degrees and then setting kind of like a flat spin. I don't know if this helps but that's how i think of it.

bounce forward and back on your tramp so your drifting then look over your shoulder and throw it when your drifting back, so kinda like switch, dunno if that will help but it worked for me

for rodeos for me a set very similar to cork 5, but when I pop I look over the shoulder a bit more. I figured it out first by doing a cork with trying a true nose. Maybe that helps?

That's why I said body parallel to tramp. But yeah it's hard to explain with typing. You do start standing, it's just you spin horizontal the whole way. Gah too hard to explain, I quit.

The horizon... at 90 degrees you should be flat on your back looking towards your feet at whatever is out there. Pick a spot like a tree or wall mark so you don't miss it. Keep your feet in and body tight in composer... It may feel weird at first but if you commit to your spot you will figure it out... Whether on a table top... flat spinning a half pipe... or on a tramp... once you learn to spot you'll be surprised at how long you can hold it and how much more control & awareness it will gain you.
Hope this helps!

throw 540 but pick your feet up to either japan or double nose. that kicks you back into flat/rodeo depending on how you do it. just commit and look over your left shoulder, let it take you off axis

i discovered rodeos before i knew it was called that and had the same problem actually, throw a spin and catch your hand in the back of your knee on the side you are spinning away from, pull it up and along with you as you spin, and make sure to look behind you. thats how you set it... now just learn without the hand in the back of the knee
