Trampoline Help

I am buying a new trampoline this summer and I have found an 8X14 ft rectangle and a 13X13 foot squareboth for the same price and I am not sure which one will have the best bounce. The Square has 84, 7.5 inch springs and the rectangle has 82, 7 inch springs.

dont really know much about the bounse but i would get the square. that thin of rectangle will be real easy to fall off of if you make the smallest mistake

rectangle for sure. the smaller side will give you more bounce because there is less of a buffer zone between springs, also because there is almost an equal amount of springs for a much smaller perimeter, the springs will be more dense on the rectangle and also give you a higher bounce. in addition, it will be easier to replace the bed for the rectangle because 9x14 is a common trampoline dimension whereas I've never heard of a 13x13 square so it is also probably older. I would without a doubt go for the rectangle.

Square. The bounce mostly has to do with what kind of bed you have. But in my opinion, all the square tramps I have been on are a lot better then rectangle ones, and definitely feel like you have more room to travel. but it's up to you. Depending on the price I would just get an octagon.

im trying to make my (standard 15ft circle) trampoline more bouncy, whats the best thing to do like buy new longer springs? i want something that will really make a difference

If you're really desperate, I see no other solution other than to hit the gym and strengthen your thigh muscles.

i was in the same situation and the rectangle is better...im not sure why but we talked to the trampoline distributor person and they said that the rectangle is for high bounce and the square is just for kids to play on or whatever.

I turns out i crossed them the wrong way last time like /\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\ but its supose to be like XXXXXX, im gonna cross them today and see how it works!

bigger springs mean greater flexibility.

greater flexibility means the trampoline can bend more.

bending more means less rigidity.

less rigidity means less bounce.

Well since the term is "Crossing your springs", why the fuck would you think the first thing you just showed me was going to do anything?

Yeah, try doing it today and I promise it'll make a difference.

Thank You for posting this.. I was going to say something about it myself.

It's the bed that makes the tramp bounce good, not all about the springs. If you combine bigger springs with a better bed then yes they work good.. but otherwise putting bigger springs on your tramp will just make it softer and bounce the same or even less.

Caspaaa & Casper. Double Team!

its how my friend told me to do it and litlary crossing your springs sounded kinda weird but i did it today and its sooo much more bouncy, i through huge bio 5s, dub flat 7, dub back, shifty cork 9's and a cork 3 i think

Depends on the type of tramp he gets.. I'm sure he would get like a $700 Jumpsport or something.. not a $2,250 Texas Standard.

I've actually decided to get neither because I've realized that the rectangle is going to be too small and the square that I was looking at doesn't have enough springs in relation to its mat area so I am probably going to get the jump sport 14 ft staged bounce round trampoline. it has 96 8.5 inch springs. If anyone has experience with these trampolines tell me what you think of them.

I dont have one, ill try to do it again to get a vid but i probs cant, ill post up a vid of any of the otheres though or really any trick, some one should make a thred where you name a trick and someone goes out and does it, posts a vid to the thread and that perosn gets to pic the next trick, nothing to hard

Because they are combined with an Olympic Bed that increases the bounce.. It's like double trouble. If you put jumbo springs on a regular 15ft round Trampoline it won't really do anything, because it will make the bed softer decreasing the bounce only because the bed is not meant to be that far away from the frame.. Olympic Tramps beds are meant to. So even with Jumbo springs the bed is still tight and perfectly distanced away from the frame for maximum bounce.

anything else i can do to make it more bouncy? im not aposed to buying new springs either but mine are pretty new so i dont think it help alot
