Trampoline Clothes Company Ideas?

Hey guys, today I got a pretty important topic. I know I'm new here, but I really have nowhere else to go with this... What I've been thinking about is attempting to start a Trampoline Clothing online store. I don't know if this has been attempted before, but I think it would be really unique and exciting. I would sell graphic T-Shirts (heat transferred), sweat pants, long-sleeve T's, sweatshirts, and baggy shorts... I'd also think about selling "sets" of clothes, that look good together. The prices would be as low as I could get, and sponsorships would be a possibility. Now I'm only going to attempt this if you think it would work, and if you think it would be profitable. Of course, I'd need good advertisement, and I'd need to get my products out there... I want to start coming up with designs for shirts, and I'm also debating a couple of names which are Bounce, Hover, Float, and Rebound. I think this would be extremely different, and due to this fact successful. Tell me what you guys think! Thanks everyone!

Cool idea. But what exactly is the difference between your "trampoline" clothes that make it better to jump in rather than wearing normal clothes?

For a good business to exist, you have to have a solid product. But I cant see how that product will be good, nor is there a big enough market for you to make a satisfactory profit.

But good luck none the less!

trampoline clothes?

like this?

That's true. I guess the clothes would be baggy, soft, comfortable, and easy to maneuver in. They'd be real bright and vibrant. Of course, you'd have your tall tees. In general they'd be good looking, extremely comfortable and maneuverable clothes...

Haha man, I'm trying to get as far away from this look as possible. I'm trying to boost the whole baggy look. I guess I should've mentioned that these would be modern, freestyle looking clothes...

Better start!

To be successful, you have to identify all the strengths in your product and market that. Which baggy soft comfy clothes is a good thing to have!

For a good note I would also find a way for these clothes to be durable since I have have had past experiences with wear and tear on my clothes with trampolines. That would be a great advantage for you product!

It's great that you've got an idea and want to run with it, but I don't really understand how they could be any different than normal clothes. Couldn't someone just purchase a 2XL Nike Pro shirt and wear it on the trampoline and it would be "baggy and comfortable?" These are the kinds of questions you will be asked by people and potential investors if you ever got to that point, so you'll need to have answers.

My question for you is why "tramploline clothes"... it will be a much larger group of people that would buy if you just sell street wear in general that is baggy. I can't think of a single reason why you would need specific clothes for trampolining.

Just my 2 cents.

Exactly, thanks for the input as well! Maybe adding a durable "patch" to the knees and elbows would be a good start to increased durability?

i think the idea of baggy, comfortable clothing would be perfect for skiers, gymnasts and potentially parkour enthusiasts as well

i feel like it'd be cool to have a company that makes taller than average hoodies/tees/shorts and sweats that are less vibrant and can be worn in public without being too tall. kinda a mix between skiing clothes and everyday clothes

then again, all of this ^^^ is not very original or creative. you might as well go buy upsized clothing at any local store. i do however feel like if you really pick a good name for the line, spend some time with your designs/colors and use quality materials, you could definitely be successful

Thats why I'm here! I never hate on this site. And this is my specialty, BUSINESS!

Always glad to help out, and I have had a lot of classes in business, and this is right up my alley. I can see where this guy is going and its a good idea, just trying him to find the strong points in his clothing line "products" so he can market off of that and sell a shit ton of clothes!

I guess my whole idea was to be one of the only freestyle trampoline brands out there today. The designs on the shirts would reflect the new generation, and the clothes would be ideal for trampoline... You could always get a Nike shirt, but I felt like (super exagerated) it would be like saying you could buy generic snowpants, or Orage snowpants for the same look and price. I think we'd all go for the Orage. Get my drift?

good point with the generic vs brand name stuff,,,

but if you want a good idea, make special socks!!! Some socks are too loose or when you jump in the foam pit they get all fuzz bally. thats the biggest problem i have

Why I hate tramping in tall ts is, they're not breathable! Make a lightweight tall t out of athletic materials, and some gym shorts, maybe even more breathable, but instead of the bland color combos and sizes those often come in, make them appealing and tall.

Good idea, I feel like you just need to add some "trampoline specific" features on the clothes. Really ham it up so you will persuade people.

fuck yeah canada

but actually, printing a picture of a tramp on a white tshirt wont make a company

good luck tho

Okay so I've been thinking up the names, and here's what I came up with:

Limitless

Float

Gravity = 0

Anti-Ground

Unrestrained

Rebound

So what do you guys think would look and sound the most professional, but most "freestyleish"...? I'm liking Gravity = 0, but I want to hear it from you guys.

Rebound is my pick. Really a name should be natural, and shouldn't require any thought. It should flow off the tongue. Gravity equals zero does not, nor does it lend itself to a good URL which is something you also need to keep in mind.

Very true, I really liked rebound when I first thought of it, but that's the first name a came up with, and I thought I needed to keep thinking... But I agree, it's simple and professional. Any more opinions?

silly comments in here. check out lululemon. they basically revolutionized yoga clothing. what's important here is fabric. anyone can make standard cotton stuff, but your products need to offer something completely new, or innovative, or just reflective of what you're working for. is there something special a trampolinist needs in material? remember one major key as well; price range. let it reflect your target market. this is super important, and while you want to offer a cheaper product you have to remember to include the costing of materials, a bit of profit to keep yourself going, and enough to buy new materials. so all being said, cheap isn't always good, and not necessarily possible unless you're buying major quantities of goods, and i'm genuinely talking about upward of a thousand units. buying in bulk from china is the cheapest, but you usually need about 5k units as a min requirement, depending who you order from. if you plan on working locally, contact companies, but you'll find it more difficult to keep pricing as low as walmart.

As of now, I'm between Gravity 0 and Float... Reason being is that Rebound generally only fits with trampoline, and I may someday decide to come out with a snow or street-wear line. I Think Float would be a better option because there's already companies out there with names like 0 - Gravity and stuff similar to that... So right now, I think I'm going to start making designs for Float...

Not bad, make it pretty small(I personally wouldn't want it in the center of the shirt) with other graphics on the shirt, sick logo though.

Yea I'd mostly use it for stickers, business cards, websites, and maybe for one T Shirt design... Working on more designs right now, I'll post them periodically...

it's good, that was my favorite of your name ideas. As far as logos go, it would be way cool if you put the balloon as the o in float (have just float in that font on a plain background with the o the balloon), or maybe a trampoline for the o.

I think this is targeting a far too specific group. That is assuming you still want to go for trampolines.

Outside of gymnasts, and smaller groups like skiers, people don't really care what they wear on a trampoline. Get a running shirt from nike or adidas, and some shorts or running pants and you're all set.

And more specifically, if you make trampoling tall T's, you've effectively boxed everyone BUT NS out of your market.

FLOAT_SHIRT_1.jpg

First shirt idea...

And too the two above me, I know this is targeting a specific group. But I'm planning on making a street-wear clothing line as well. Along with this line there will be a trampoline specific line (reinforced knees/elbows, color sets, T's, tall T's, sweatpants, sweatshirts) and a ski line (tall T's, sweatshirts). Since Float can mean either trampoline or ski airtime... Thinking about beanies as well.

this.

and as a member of NS, I can say that quite frankly I don't two shits what I wear to a tramp sesh.

that being said, the logo looks decent. I like the idea of the balloon for the O in "float"

make a pair of athletic shorts that wont fall down when jumoping on the tramp but dont need a draw string. Also knee padding, Shorts and shirts that stay in place even when you ar flipping around and shit. Hats that are comfy but stay on.Trampoline shoes? Just bouncing ideas off ya

Definitely put out an add on Newschoolers.

I'm not really sure how much demand is for this product.

IMO it'd have to be super soft and breathable. I'm not sure how you can make your clothes much better for trampolining than some basketball shorts and a tee.

Personally, I think it'd be really hard to start a trampoline orientated clothing company. If you made a company that produced a super sick and comfortable product that could be worn or advertised as worn around town and such I think you might be in business. Maybe have a trampoline clothes section. Like saga has outerwear as well as tee and tanks you could have tees and trampoline clothing.

Hope I could help!

Cheers

Crispy.

The more i think about it definitely Trampoline shoes. Flybed are hard on feet shoes tear them up. Something soft that would be wore off the tramp but does slip out on the tramp surface. also if you create a huge succesful company that makes ill trampoline shoes i want a pair for free and like a tee shirt or something.

let me rephrase that into coherent English. Something soft that wouldnt wear out the tramp but would still have grip. Something that could protect your feet if you need to bail off the tramp into like sticks or rocks or whatever. could be worn too and from your car or the deck or whatever.

I like the idea but in my opinion it's too narrow of a group to solely dedicate clothes to people who trampoline, I know you said street wear too but if you had a strictly tramp clothing series too it doesn't seem like there'd be much difference between your average tall tee or comfy sweatpants from WalMart, you need to decide what would be so special about your trampoline clothes and why kids would want your stuff and not just regular ski wear

Here's a few suggestions

perhaps some kind of dry tech incorporated into it

some not noticeable padding(I hate rug burn)

that's about all I could think of but sick idea

this is a fantastic idea, make them so they look good as well. also, MAKE THE SHIRTS BREATHABLE, i know i said it before, but this would be the most important thing for me, also a jersey would be cool, and a tramp hat that wont fly off is also a great idea, and the shorts thing too, HIRE JIBSY!!!
