When its unnecessary gear it is a great reason not to buy it. Also, if the gear is offered in many different colors and styles, I will choose the one that works the best for me then I will take the one I like the most colorway wise. I dont want to look like a fucktard when I ski. If it was only offered in that color and I thought they were the best goggles for me I would buy them. I bought my boots because they fit the best and I had no choice in color or style and I am fine with that. If I had 2 that fit equally well, I would choose the best looking. Its a natural thing. So not it is far from a horrible reason not to blow $50 on something I dont want. /rant
