Best powder day I have had since lastMarch, no joking. It was pretty much amazing.

I couldn't get anyone else to wake up so I went up alone. The preseason scene at Alta is just crazy.... so much traffic, so I wasn't worried about getting lost. I also knew poeple going up later.

I met up with Jake (JakesCast....?)... sorry, don't remember the rest of it, but he's the guy posting the rest of the Alta reports. It was a random meeting; I recognized him from the pictures. We jumped over some tree and made some turns with another firend of his. It was cool meeting you guys! sorry i don't remember the friend's name, i'm horrible with names.

They went hiking and a couple friends of mine (the photographer who provided all these photos) came along.

fuck schooooooool right now I just wanna go play in that all week. i hope these rumors of early openings come true... although hiking has actually been a ton of fun.

ahaha.... just realized hat I wrote "wasn't worried about getting lost". I meant that i wasn;t worried about having a BC budy because there were so many people in the area I WAS.

God im so sick of hearing about this shit.

It figures we have an epic pre season again, since I had shoulder surgery a month and a half ago.

Bastards.

Ya big white finally had like 11cm which isnt alot but its something but today it was 10 degrees out

yeah I know, silverstar had 75 cms, but now it's melting :(

but it's gonna cool down in the next couple of days

Yea, it's been amazing. thanks for all the positive comments. I'm going to show this to Bryan, he'll be stoked.

The majority of the skiing pics are me... I have the orange/giro helmet/Made'ns/no poles

I'm glad this hasn't turned into a no poles thread. I might be jinxing it. It was the first day that i have ever tried it in powder (I actually didn;t like skiing without poles personally until i got used to it late spring last year). Needless to say, there's a reason that Pep and Andy do it. It's sooooo fun. Brings a whole new sense of how you are interacting with the super soft snow. dragging your hands is so much fun.

holy shit, im in school and you made me drool all over my clothes, thanks alot...just kidding but seriously - SO JEALOUS...im going in January, will it still be good?
