Toyota Accelerator Issues

So I drive a 02 4 runner, and havent had any issues with it, recently I was driving on the highway and went from like 60-80 real quick, and my accelorator got stuck. Really weird, had to shift to neutral to correct it, i was really flustered. Any similar experiences? Im taking it to the dealership asap
 
i got an 05 toyota camry accelerates fast buts thats cause i got a lead foot. But i thought the whole toyota accelerator being stuck issue was on like 2008 models or later... could just be because you have a car almost 10 years old i dont know.
 
i'm pretty sure the only confirmed issue for toyota accelerator prollems is with the floormats causing the pedal to stick. Don't know at all if yours is a model affected by it
