Can someone explain to me how dropping waterfalls on a kayak works? Like aren't there rocks at the bottom of some of them, meaning you'd just smash into them? I assume they scope out the waterfalls first, but still

They'll generally float a dead cow down the river and over the edge, and if it's got any serious lacerations on the other side then they deem it unsafe.

Most kayakers will float 2-3 cows before hitting a big fall (50 feet or more), but Rush has been known to float up to 8. The guy really hates animals.

on the real side , they look at the falls for years before they run them if they are high risk, low water shows allot and also after a while you can read the water and tell whats under the surface by the way its acting
