Touring Squamish 2019

I'm thinking of doing more touring next year instead of doing resort/slackcountry big mountain.

I've been thinking about maybe going to Squamish and doing some of the bigger lines around there (like Camel Toe Couloir, Supercouloir, Central Couloir, Siberian Express area, and I know thats alot of couloirs).

I'm a competitive freerider and I have pretty good knowledge for A.T., anything you guys would recommend me to do or not do for when I go?

I'm pretty sure some of those lines have only been skied by a handful of people ever. Not sure how much mountaineer experience you have, but by the sounds of it you are transitioning from a mainly resort skier to back country. You have experience with ropes and repels? Glacier travel? No fall zone skiing?

Not to sound condescending as I am in no way ready to be skiing those lines yet either, but it seems like you may be trying to bite off more than you can chew being based out east in Quebec/Ontario. If I am completely wrong than I apologize in advance.

There is however lots of awesome couloirs to ski north of the areas mentioned, specifically off of the Duffey. These would be quite a bit less high risk with still a lot of vertical and reward mixed in. Generally drier snow as well.

I've skied three lines on Atwell. Each line has required I bring ice tools and know how to use them. Go easy there - your tick list is scary

thanks guys ! your advice is really appreciated. i have some experience with shorter no fall zone lines like straight down satisfaction on blackcomb peak, but i haven't had the opportunity to do anything like siberian express. i am an experienced freeride skier for being where i'm from. id definetly start out on supercouloir out of all the lines i mentioned.
