Got a pair of 192cm Bent Chetlers and love them to bits.

Atm they are mounted with FFG 16's, and I am thinking of selling these and buying a touring setup for the Bent Chetlers e.g. Bindings and skins.

I was wondering how the Bent Chetlers would be as a touring ski??

Has anybody toured with This ski??

Any other suggestions??

Big and heavy, i would assume you will be putting dukes or barons on them, making them heavier. It comes down to how much you are actually going to be trekking. Its an expensive endeavor and if you get the equipment and never use it, it is a waste. I have seen many people pick up dukes, barons etc.. put them on their powder boards and use them as a resort only binding. Which is fine but now you have spent more money on a binding that is prone to breaking a lot more than a regular alpine binding. If you are committed then my advice would be to pick up another pair of skis that are lighter, shorter, and thinner. Big skis like the bentchetlers make it a lot harder than it has to be, its doable but i wouldnt do it.
