Touring ski for Jackson Hole? Line or Volkl?

Hey there, Got a quick question. I am trying to come up with the ultimate touring ski to strap some dynafits to for the up coming season in Jackson. I have heard Line Influence 115 and the Volkl Kuro. Anyone have some more input?

you should really get some g3's of black diamond skis... but as for line vs volkl go with the new line sickday

Four touring don't go with the Influence, it's a burly ski for charging down. The Sick Day 110 would be the ticket. thanks!

1. my lord it's hard to embed stuff in threads

2. The Prophet is a good width but it has some added weight because of the metal matrix. If you're OK with that go for it but for a lighter ski the Sick Day 95 is great! Or even the Blend.

Most of my friends that tour a lot have BD/Dynafit skis.

Another has a pair of Surface Live frees and they were great with some Dynafits on them.

I tour on my ON3P billy goats if I go out.

This is all in the Jackson/Teton valley. Maybe I'll catch ya on the pass sometime!

If you are looking at Volkl, check out the new V-Werks Katana (depending on how much you want to spend). It's a fully rockered, carbon wrapped charging ski. The carbon makes it stiff enough to rip hard like the regular Katana but light enough to make it a touring ski. Dimensions 143/112/132

There's also the Nunataq and Nanuq in their true touring line. All of their touring skis have the skin pin to be used with the Volkl skins.

The Kuro is sick but if there's anything but deep snow, you're gonna have a bad time. The 132mm waist is gonna suck for wind crusted snow.

If you're thinking Line, definitely go with the Sick Day 110. Light and lots of fun!

I would love that Katana V-Werks. Just had a friend pick them up for this season. Thanks for the advice I am going to go for the Sick Day for sure. -j
