Touring setup questions

so im a little confused o touring and have some questions.

1if u get a pair of say 4frnt renegades mounted with fks using trekkers for touring can you use these skis as a good powder skiing setup with no touring involved

2do mounting points for touring and powder skiing change or are they the same.

sorry if these dont really make sense

Not sure what you're unsure about with your first question. If you mount them with fks, they will be very good at stuff with no touring involved. And with mounting skis for touring, some people mount a little further back just to make kick turns easier, but all in all I'd just mount them where you think best suits your skiing style.

Renegades with the fks would be a killer inbounds pow ski for sure! its going to ski awesome no matter what you mount it with. And mounting points do not really change. some guys like to go a little bit more forward for skinning purposes, but other than that, it doesnt really make any difference.

You have to remember FKS weigh approximately 6 million pounds. And then Trekkers (which some people call Day-Wrekkers due to their tendency to fall apart at bad times) weigh another 4 million pounds. And that's a lot of weight to be trudging around with on your feet.

Would be a sick inbounds setup but I don't think you'd want to tour far on them.
