TOURING bindings that can stand up to big hucks

Im looking to purch a pair of S7's this year and get some touring bindins so i can skin it.
my local shop only carries the Marker dukes. any good?

Im a bigger dude, not huge, but 6'1" and around 185 pounds, and i usually have dins around 12. I'm an ex racer and still young enough to be dropping cliffs so i need something durable. Willing to drop extra money if theyre not gonna break.

Suggestions?
 
Dukes all the way heavy, but most other at binders are not going to take that abuse

Or Alpine wreckers depending on how far your planning on going to earn your turn.

I'd consider a carbon fiber pm gear Lasha pow instead of that s7, lighter weight, stiffer flex, FKNA made in the usa, but if your gonna huck big like Sage you should def get the same skis as him. You may want to make at least one of your bc partners has strong emt/1st aid skills if your hucking big meat in the bc

 
yo cheech its ty from lebo...do you want to go out and tour all day or is this a sidecountry set up? I have broke both the naxo and duke and would not recomend either to you knowing how aggresive you ski. If you want a light beffy at binder I think the way to go is a dynafit.
 
Well that's a bummer that the Dukes broke, hope that shit doesn't happen to me, I'll bring them right back to the shop if it does though.
 
TYYY what up man, LTD in utah? I need to make a road trip out there this year and catch a storm.

I actually just talked to Matt Feuer yesterday, so road trip is a toss up between some whistler mates, CO, or UT.

but anyway think like mostly short tours, 1-3 hours, not all day, and ski it a lot inbounds. Im not gonna be consistently dropping anything more than 50-60feet, but definitely hit 2-3 monsters in a year. Im also going heli this year in sweden. how did your dukes break?
 
There was another thread on Dukes failing and it said that they chgd the retaining bolt from one to two or something like that to make it better for this year. May want to search it....
 
Go with the dukes. Only 1 day on mine, but they are sick. Feel just like a regular binding. No pre-release issues either. Also look into the 196 lhasa pows from bro, they look so sick.
