Tough Decisions...

so basically the weekend of march 24th-25th is going to be interesting... I was planning on going to PFC North with all of my friends and shredding and having a good time. I was going to register tonight and everything was pretty much set. It would be my first time back skiing actually being able to hold poles and try new stuff because currently I have cast and a broken thumb. I was so stoked about this. Then today my dad talked to me about going to the NASCAR race down in Bristol with his friend from college and the dudes kid (2 years younger than me, im 17 hes 15.) My dad really wants this to be a father-son outting type deal and he really wants to go. He's never been to a NASCAR race and isn't like a huge fan but sometimes when the races are on he enjoys watching them. I know this is something he really wants to do and I don't want to ruin his fun.

So I know im going to get some biased decisions because this is a ski site... but.. what would you do: Go with your pops for the weekend and watch some dope crashes and chill with the other guys or shred the gnar for one last time this season...

you guys might say ski what kind of a question is this but.. i almost feel obligated to go with my dad and I really don't want to ruin this opportunity for him.
 
no he likes it a lot he just isn't one of those like hardcore fans when you think of NASCAR you get into your head ya know.. like trashy with a unkept beard and a belly screaming at the tv and shit..
 
skiing anyday. just tell him you want to ski, im sure he will understand cause you havent cause of your cast
 
i don't really follow nascar, but i know that bristol is a crazy course. it's so small that there's like a guarentee that there gonna be a wicked crash, which is why everyone is really gonna be there. it's like just behind talladega and daytona. i dunno, not too many chances to go to that. pretty easy to go to a ski camp.
 
Go with your dad. You can ski your whole life, but the time you have left with your parents before you go off to college and start living on your own is getting pretty short. Enjoy some father-son time before you "grow-up."
 
just have your dad come skiing with you.....thats a good decsion, i asked my dad to come out with my friends last year to utah, but he let me down...booooo
 
you are right on that Bristol is like a crazy track and there are tons of cool crashes. and you can go to a ski camp anyday.

I also agree with crazypotatos.

I think i'll go to the NASCAR race. I've never been to one so it should be a fun experiance.
