Torrent Help

Hi m&a, not sure if any of you will be able to help with this or whether i should post this here or nsg, but figured I'd probably get a better response here.

Anyways, I live on campus at my school and have been downloading torrents since the day I got here, not a whole bunch but I do download them here and there, gotta take advantage of unlimited usage! So Fast forward to today, I went to download a new episode of chuck, and when I open the torrent up in bittorrent it attempts to find the trackers but it seems like it can't. I just get a red arrow beside my download after a minute indicating fail. I've tried several different torrents and none of my configuration or network settings have been changed. If you need more info just let me know

Thoughts or help would be much appreciated!

The school probably blocked you from torrenting stuff, you're not supposed to do that on school Internet. But other people on here know more about this than I do maybe someone else has another idea

i lived on campus for two years and my school was pretty dedicated to stopping all illegal downloads. its very common now a days for them to not only block the sites, but they can get ahold of all your computer info, especially if you are using their network.

my advice is don't do it on campus. worst punishment at my school was expulsion for multiple offenses.

I was talking with one of my profesors at college and he showed me how easy it is to she everything that is downloaded on a school network. Two buttons later and he had a whole list of every file downloaded. Dont do it. $250,000 and five years in prison.

Im in Canada so dont think I'd be looking at anything quite that serious, the downloading laws are a lot more tame and it can be gotten away with easier as far as i know, but its good to know they can easily see what im downloading. Thanks for the help guys!
