I was contemplating on going or not but if those movies really do get showed, im going for sure

yeah im going,

went last year for the first time and it was alright. probably end up going on friday this year. its good to get some free/discounted lift tickets from a few booths (thank you glen eden). the prices on some of the skis there are decent, but its about 60% snowboard gear to 40% ski stuff. the swap might be a good idea if you're looking for used skis. although I only saw a couple of twins there last year. outerwear is kinda pricey, but corbetts usually has some pretty insane deals. they had this thing last year where you spin this wheel thing and you could win some free stuff with your purchase, it was ight.

but the greatest thing last year had to be Mt. Kirby's Abercrombie Polos for $10 :P

yupp. working there sat and sunday. (shitty)
the ski show gets old fast when u work there every year lol.
and im saddened that they are not showing contrast...becasue that means most likley contrast will not be for sale at the studio 411 booth...which means i will pre order it next week! yah!!!

haha they claim they will show all those moves but then only ever end up getting 2 or 3 of them.

never been to this before... is it legit?

do they actually show all the movies they say and is there alot of free stuff being given away from all the different booths, or at least chances too.

if so im really considering going, just need to find someone to go with me lol

yes win

^ yeah its legit

im mainly going for fks in the swap section

maybe buy a couple pairs

only because film companies don't get copies out in time.

i set up what films were going to be shown two years ago and there were a couple producers that didn't get a copy of their film to us in time to show

careful with that man.
1. they are WAY overpriced(unless u get there the first 10 minutes its open)
and 2. i got fucked over last year bought a ski/binding with ninja fks 155s on them...took em to goose to mount on my seths and they were fucked beyond repair (cosmetically they looked fine...the heel pieces we destroyed from the inside...everything else was fine)
most pointless 200$ ever spent.

Yeah i know that. Its terrible advertising though because most of those movies wont even ship before the show.

It's not bad, it's fun to go for the free shit, but if your going with the mind set that you want to buy specifics, it's usually not the best idea because some times you won't find what your looking for and if your lucky you will.

Still great to go to though, lot's of fun.

If you are going, be there on the first day as soon as it opens. There are usually some great deals but not much selection and it goes fast. If you cant make it then, go for the last hour on the last day. we (the exhibitors) want to pack up as little shit as possible so make us an offer...really. Best deals are on last years things, if you want this years stuff wait until christmas sales. if you pass mcmaster sports ill be the hungover bearded guy looking sour.

sorry for dub post

true maybe im not going that method then

but i saw some for like 90-120 ish last year

and i only need 120s

i prob wont be able to go thursday. But friday after school il definitly be there (around 4). Will all the great deals still be there in the afternoon? I've never been before so i really dont know much.

Going early does have its perks, you can find some good deals...but if you cant get there early ....you will still be able to find something...all the shops have so much gear that im sure you will find good deal....

well friday i have class till midday so i would be there late

saturday i have midterm so can't go then

sunday is a possibility

man this is becoming hard to get to

I might be there working. If I am, i'll post up some special stuff that I may be selling that I could give you guys first dibs on. I will find out thursday if I'm gonna be working there.

if I wanted to buy a pair of fks there, how legit are the deals? Im guessing i'd have to buy them mounted on a pair of racing skis too eh?

hahaha yea you got the shitty/stellar end of that deal depending on which way you look at it.
loading out fucking blows though lol

im going. if your obsessed with stickers like me, you will be very impressed. o and last year was a total drag because they had some gay faison show of rossi stuff and skateboarders on this mini ramp that were not very good instead of this bitcin big air show! this year though they are supposed to have the big air show which is sick. they got like those snow pucks that are under the snow by the lift lines at resorts, with atleast 20 foot drop in (to the ceiling) and this big blow up air mattress for the landing. corbetts booth is also insane. they got the biggest booth in the whole show so be shur to check it out!!! stoked it starts tommarrow and im heading down friday afterschool

I will be there tomorrow most likely and maybe sunday. Really hoping to find spyder killer jacket. Probably some pivots in the ski swap too

The bmx/skate park setup in the middle with the trampolines has some serious potential to be really sick but we'll see...

We apparently have a person-sized Schick razor located beside our shop's both and its apparent use is to be ridding like a mechanical bull...should also be quite interesting...haha

Just got back from ski show. Went there from opening til about 15 minutes ago.

Place was pretty punched out as usual. 95% snowboarding, 5% trashy ski stuff, and overpriced Warren Miller movies...

I guess I cant expect much high end / niche stuff at the TORONTO ski show though

There were some 09/10 Smith IO's that were 'demos' for $100. They were in mint shape in a regular smith box, just no smith zipper pouch w/ 2nd lens and shammy or anything like that. I'm still set for goggs from last year tho so I didn't bite on em.

The ski swap was a joke, its just tons and tons of resorts old rental shit being swapped out. I saw 1 pair of like 06 seth's that were pretty beat up, thats the only thing that even remotely caught my eye.

urs guys (grammar much?) tent is always the biggest as far as i can remember. like u walk through the middle of it for christ sakes!
how fun is that to load in and out? ahaha
