Torin's been hyping this up for about a year now and it finally came out on Kickstarter.

Info:

The TYW Designs line sunglasses line is starting with four styles and 10 different acetate colors in total -- the standard Rezi-Tek UV version is $130 and the Rezi-Tek UV Polarized version is $150:

Note: all sunglasses frames are Rx compatible.

Are you going to snag some or nah?

Looks pretty dumb to me. Why do I need hats and sunglasses with his initials on them? Sorry TYW

Nah I can get Smith's for like half that, sorry torin.

Maybe down the road if they are really nice or something, but super expensive sunglasses arent my thing. I see very little purpose in dropping loads of money on sunglasses. Especially some brand new brand

ah yes, all those wealthy jerries who totally know who torin yater wallace is...

the sunglass industry needs some shaking up but if i'm paying $150 for sunglasses that i'm shredding in, theyre going to be oakleys that have really nice lenses. what do i know about TYW lenses? nothing

I hope he's drop shipping, and doesn't have too much invested in this. Talk about a "me too" offering. and that price point seems criminal... I hope he has a good merchandising/marketing team. I have a feeling the people that know who TYW is will not buy into this product, I hope I'm wrong... he's a dope skier who's continually worked hard through a lot of BS.

I am getting so tired of pros making incredibly generic clothing / “lifestyle” brands. Hoping that kids will buy your stuff just because your quasi-famous name is on it is an incredibly poor business model. At least this isn’t as bad as Sean petit’s superproof line, I guess

what does his growing up in aspen have to do with it? my point was that he's not enough of a household name to drive sales with the gaper crowd. not for $150 sunglasses, anyway

Same with Bobby's company, pretty sure the shirts are just thin cotton and say "Bob culture" on it, maybe some with graphics idk. Just a way for them to make extra money and promote themselves more.

I think bobby's company is a cinematography thing, I can't find anything about buying clothing on the site

Guess it must've failed, if you look up bob culture on Google there's shop and product links but come up with a 404 error.

Aspen is like the mecca of gaper crowds and TYW is a household name there

i definitely remember seeing a couple kids with bob culture shirts on at school last year. Texan kids with rich parents who take ski trips to Colorado every year will buy this stuff and that's about it.

I lose or break a pair of sunglasses every month so I just buy like 3 shitty but polarized pairs on amazon for $20

This. I usually run through two pairs of Knockarounds a year either from breaking or losing them
