Top rated videos

How do the “top rated videos” on a members profile become the top rated? I previously thought it was just by upvotes but the ratings on people’s videos don’t align with that. Are views taken into account or views vs upvotes ratio or something else?

Are you looking at the top rated all time?

We recently changed content to upvotes only, so for the last month of top rated, everything is ranked based on how many upvote it received. The top rated all time involves down votes as well, which surprisingly even top rated all time videos had downvotes.

I’m talking about on a members profile, under videos there is “latest videos” and then “top rated videos”

Ah yes, well same reason still. For example on your profile, there is a video with 27 upvotes and then a video with 54 upvotes below it, because it likely had a few downvotes so its actually calculated below your 27 upvote video from two weeks ago.

Okay that makes a lot of sense. Thanks for explaining that
