that stuffs not that pricey. That link had it at like $15 for a 4" by 3' sheet. Well i guess that might add up... but its still affordable. My question is though... would 4" across be enough for a box? Or would u have to put like 2 right next to each other?

It wouldn't be a very wide box if it were 4 inches. So maybe 2 if you like.

Trying is the first step towards failure

Its kind of expensive, I priced it at interstate Plastics I could get (two) 9" x 119" pieces at the .18" thickness for $108 including shipping.

I think it worth it too the full name is Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethelyne and it has many advatages. It is super hard and slippery so you wont catch an edge. The Kinetic Coefficient of Friction is .12 the Coefficient of tires on glare ice is .15!!! (the lower it is the more slippery it is)

it is pricey but the other choice is lexan which is just as bad if not worse on the price

dont put sheets side by side to get 8 inches, go with 4 and challenge yourself and get super good at rails.

for my backyard park i was thinking about using the plastic pincnic table stuff. but it seems rough, maybe the inside of it? because the wood one i have now sucks. my friend caught and edge sliding it and flipped over and his edge hit him in the back of the head when he went down and he bled. alot.
