Hi

I was looking for some bindings and found brand new griffon's but last pair, extremely cheap but they are 110mm wide, my skis are 87mm under the boot, can i bought them and it wouldn't cause no problems riding?

When you're carving it may hit the snow, actually it will hit the snow if you get on your edge. you can buy new brakes for like $30

most shops carry spare brakes and they could quite possibly just exchange them for you, worst case scenario is you have to spend 30$ or so on new brakes.

marker makes a 90mm brake. like above, probably gonna cost you $30-40 and its an easy swap if you want to do it yourself and save a trip to the shop.

I don't understand how brakes can cost $30. It's ridiculous if you think about how little it would actually cost the companies to manufacture them.

supply and demand my friend, see if you buy marker bindings for example you have to buy marker brakes, and since you're the only company who makes marker brakes then you are the only company he can buy from, simple as that and since people need brakes you can pretty much charge as much as you want as the price is relatively inelastic.

They might be trickier than you would think, the molds for each piece of plastic in the binding cost upwards of $100k each, and their production volume is not high enough to offset the cost completely

one more thing, these griffons (from 12/13 season) are as the shop say "for younger and lighter riders" but recomended weight is

They should be fine. They are a good binding with a din up to 13. So unless you ride 12 or above there is not much point in paying the extra Money for the jester pro.
