Too much snow has created a serious problem

so anyone who lives in WA will understand this

Friday, Dec. 31, 2021, I had the best pow day of my life with @tri_photo and another cousin of mine. (tell him to join NS)

It was snowing at the base of Alpental, but bluebird up above chair 2. Absolute bliss - Pics included

Ever since then it's been nonstop precipitation in WA. Only problem is the temperatures have gradually risen from 18 to a solid 38 now. Avalanches shut down US-2 and I-90 for several days, Stevens is still closed to my knowledge, and Summit just re opened in time for a week of rain

If we didn't have so much snow I could have skied by now :'(
 
dude same thing happened to me. got 5 inches of snow, built a shitty pvc setup, then went to work today like the paper bitch i am

The struggle is real man. Any PNW skier knows those days when it dumps forever and you get so stoked for an epic pow day then it does something crazy like rain to the top.

Wow, its true. Ontario and Quebec are getting slammed with arctic air. I almost forgot because its 1C in Nelson BC. Last 3 weeks have been absolutly amazing. This was our kicker storm:
