is it possible to use too much ptex on your bases, i have a pair of beaters and im am just considering dripping that shiz all over them, like an entire new bases of just ptex, do you think it would work, i dont care about how fast they will slide now, i just want them for some urban missions

you probably could. You would need to get a stone ground to even out the bases.... then again it's for urban. I don't see why not.

Yea would work

if you covered teh base and then got it stone ground it would accomplish nothing but filling in the scratches and gauges

just fill in the big shit with p tex. if you are going to p tex and then stonegrind which is normally like 40 bucks then that is a really stupid idea for urban skis that are just going to get fucked the first time you use them.

you cant just put ptex on skis either, the gouges have to have sharp edges, not slowly tapering cuts. so if its a shallow wide and mellow gouge, you cant ptex it because it wont stick.

um. bad idea. its SUPER tough to scrape all the PTEX down, and most places are gonna look at your hack ass job, and charge you extra labor charges for scrapping it all down. if your using them for urbans, why the fuck would you bother? if they are horribly slow, hit them in 1 direction with a fine grit belt sander a couple times, or take a hard sharp scraper and cut all the flak off so theres nothing stickin out to drag in the snow. thenmaybe do a quickt wax job of real cheap wax.
