Too much drilling?

I just bought new boots. Turns out the shell is 10mm shorter than my old ones and my Rossi FKS bindings will only screw forward about 4mm. So they will have to be re drilled. Think is they have already been re drilled once from "Standard" to 3cm back from centre.

Exactly how weak does multiple drilling make your skis after theyve been filled properly and stuff? Should I really be worried about it?

well, 3 drills will make your skis weaker, but you can't really do anything about it sense you got new boots. I'd say just redrill your heelpiece (or toepiece, whichever you'd rather move) and then just ride them. it should be okay. and if they break, then too bad, but it was a necessary move. chances are you'll be all set

It really depends on the ski and where you drill. You can drill a strong ski 5-6 times if you don't have holes close together, it's just when you're mounting a few sets of bindings in the same place that you run into trouble. If you've already moved the heel once and the toes are in the original holes, just move those back like Skipig25 suggested. The only downside to this is you lose major cred on NS by having skis mounted .5cm back.

3 drills is the general rule of thumb for re mounting from what I know. Anything over that it starts to get risky.

Gonna take the heelpiece off and see if where I can put the screw holes. Hopefully they wont clash.

If not Ill just sell them and get some new ones. $$$$$$$$$$$$$... gay
